NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is the biologically usable form of Niacin (Vitamin B-3). NAD is present in all living cells as a cofactor for many biochemical reactions, playing a central role in cellular energy production. Thus, the more NAD available to the cell, the more energy it can produce. NAD and its reduced form, NADH, are readily converted by the body, but unlike NADH, NAD is not altered by the acids present in the stomach.
Vitamin B-3 (niacin) is widely regarded as one of the most effective nutrients in elevating mood, overcoming moderate depression and fighting the effects of fatigue.
