Cholesterol
Blocking arteries
High Cholesterol levels have been associated with the build-up of plaque in the arteries. There are two types of cholesterol in the body, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). LDL is considered to be the 'bad' cholesterol, since it contributes to the build-up of plaque in the arteries.
